This car was purchased at an Estate Auction in Neffs, Pa. back in the late 1980's from a collection of over 75 Pontiacs. I found it to be the most unusual car offered and well worth our investment and time to make her Roadworthy again. She went unnoticed that day by most. Now Station Wagons are the hot item to collect with all the convertibles and hardtops used up. She doesn't get missed at any show we show up at now and has yet to worry of running into another with these wagons few and far between.

The biggest shows she has been in have been the1995 Street Rod Nationals as my flea market wares vehicle, the 1999 P.O.C.I. Convention in Buffalo, N.Y. placing 3rd in her class in her semi restored condition. and the 2000 & 2001 Syracuse Nationals in Syracuse, New York.

Our first efforts went into getting her running again and then onto rebuilding the complete brake system using Dot 5 Brake Fluid in all the new lines and cylinders. New Wide White-Wall Tires and the Upholstery repaired with the correct fabrics and the carpet replaced she was ready to cruise. A general clean up And buff to the outside made her presentable for a time until I could squeeze her into the schedule to detail the Engine compartment, Refinish the roof , and repair some rust in the floors and Redo the WoodGrain on the body's exterior.

Here are a couple of shots of the Interior and the Engine Compartment.

Now to show some shots of the WoodGrain process:

I believe you need to take detail shots for reference to copy the original graining design of seams etc.

Then it is strip the Moldings and Trim and sand down to the bare metal and metal prep and repair as needed.

After the primer goes the base coat of color...

Now mask off the dark base color and spray on the lighter base color.
