July 4th, 2010 - God Bless America!
- Hope everyone has a Happy & Safe Holiday -
Leaving for the POCI Convention Monday-hope to run into lots of friends
there in Charleston West Virginia. It is also a return to a place I
visited during my youth many moons ago when my aunt & uncle lived there.
He built houses and I hope to look up a couple of his old addresses. The
last house he built was around 1966 and sold for $250,000.00 then!
I'll be driving my son's car as all my cars continue under construction.
Progress to date:
1950 Pontiac Deluxe Tin Woody has turned into a major refurbish,
Some chrome pieces due back from Paul's Show Chrome in about two weeks.
Interior top bows in process of new wood grain painting. Exterior body
work started and will include complete repaint of exterior.
New inside wood work to do along with a new headliner also on our list
to do yet.
1941 Pontiac Tudor Sedan - preparing engine to fire, new wiring harness
to install along with new wheel cylinders, master cylinder and brake
lines. After that is done it will be time to start the repaint and buy
some new tires.
Still in the wings to follow are my 1941 Pontiac Business Coupe, 1949
Chevy Sport Coupe, and my 1940 Ford Deluxe Coupe along with a couple of
Fieros and my 1970 Lemans Sport.
Time is precious and I have far to little of it working 2 jobs, 66 hours
a week. Makes for a real test on this 60 year old body.
